About Us
PixelsToInches.net was built for a simple (and surprisingly common) problem: pixel numbers are easy to get, but physical size only makes sense when you know the pixel density. Designers, photographers, developers, students, and print shops all hit the same question: “How big is this in inches?” or “How many pixels do I need for this print size?”
Our approach is intentionally practical: you can enter Pixels, Inches, or PPI and the other values update instantly—no “Calculate” button, no spreadsheet juggling. Need cleaner numbers for a spec sheet? Use the Decimals control. Want to send the outcome to a client or teammate? Use Share result to copy a quick summary. If you want to restart, Reload calculator or Clear all changes.
Built for real workflows
- Web & UI design: quick estimates using common reference densities like 96 PPI.
- Print planning: check sizes at 300 PPI (or lower for posters viewed from farther away).
- Education: learn the core formulas and validate your understanding with live inputs.
Helpful context, not just numbers
- Tips & examples to avoid the most common sizing mistakes.
- Auto-updating conversion tables that follow your chosen PPI and decimals.
- FAQs that answer practical questions (like “1920×1080 in inches?”).
- Multiple languages so the same tool is easier to use worldwide.
Our principles
- Clarity over clutter. A clean interface that stays fast on mobile.
- Accuracy with transparency. Conversions depend on PPI—so we put PPI control front and center.
- Privacy by default. No account required for a quick conversion.
- Continuous improvement. We tweak content and UX based on common questions and feedback.
